Exciting Career Opportunities with Youth Initiative Against Terrorism (YIAT)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the fight against violent extremism and supporting survivors of conflict-related sexual violence in Nigeria? The Youth Initiative Against Terrorism (YIAT) is offering two exciting opportunities to join our dynamic team: Finance Officer for our IRM project in Yobe and Finance/Admin Assistant for our IRM project in Adamawa.
YIAT, formerly known as the Youth Coalition Against Terrorism, is a youth-focused NGO dedicated to reducing the allure of violent extremism in northern Nigeria. Our mission is achieved through counter-radical peace education, skills training for vulnerable youth, and counseling services for terrorism victims. We collaborate with the Global Survivors Fund (GSF), launched by Nobel Peace Prize laureates Dr. Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad, to provide interim reparative measures (IRM) for survivors of conflict-related sexual violence. This collaboration helps bridge the gap where states or other parties are unable or unwilling to meet their responsibilities.
